Inspired by the moors, meadows and cloughs of the Peak District

The place

Britain's oldest national park, with folklore as ancient as the land itself.

The High Peak is heather, peat, sphagnum, gritstone and weather; a landscape shaped by altitude, acid soil and Atlantic rain. The botanicals we use are native to this landscape; species you could find within an afternoon's walk across the moor, if you knew where to look. We source them organically, from growers who take the same care with the plant that we take with the product.

The folklore around these plants is centuries old; elder was considered protective, yarrow was carried into battle, meadowsweet was strewn across floors for its scent and its medicine. That knowledge didn't disappear; it just stopped being passed down. Hallow is, in part, an attempt to carry it forward.

One percent of every order goes to Moors for the Future, who restore the blanket bog that holds this landscape together.
